My name is Bobby Lane and I am a contemporary dance educator and choreographer. I graduated with my degree in performing arts, and have amassed a vast skill set of movement techniques and qualities that combine multiple textures throughout my career as a dancer. After traveling and learning about dance and contemporary as a genre through many different outlets across my path, I have dove deep into the mechanics of contemporary dance, discovering and researching the most influential displays in the industry I could find in order to carefully and meticulously curate my own unique ideas. I believe in pursuing art, opening up through creation, and pushing through the boundaries of individual stylistic approaches through positivity and receptive communication which yields accelerated progress. Showing students the way of growth, and working diligently to improve their education about their bodies and how they function in terms of bringing the richest of craftsmanship alive is at the center of my heart and my passion shines through to help support students in their journey, and I have an uplifting and understanding perspective in my job as a teacher which provides me the ability to teach in a way that is integrated and broken down as much as it is rewarding. I hope to bring progressiveness and my open mind to help further the future of dance through doing what I love. I feel as though students are to be cherished and respected as learning and developing people, and I’m excited to be the one to implicate this here at Evolution Dance Performing Arts Academy and look forward to being at the frontier of new possibilities and evolve the perception of dance for all of us together as a team.
